The annual Blacksmith and Fine Craft Auction will be held Saturday, November 5 from 1:00- 4:00 PM in the Keith House of the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC. The Blacksmith and Fine Craft Auction will give attendees an opportunity to bid on more than 200 handmade fine craft and art items. Pottery, woodcarving, painting, weaving, blacksmithing, jewelry, and much more will be included in the silent and live auctions.
Local auctioneers, Bob Grove and Tim Ryan, will lead the bidding with light hearted humor while Folk School Director, Jan Davidson, will emcee the live auction. Folk School craft instructors from all over the country have donated some of their finest items to the Blacksmith & Fine Craft Auction. The auction is an important fundraiser for the Folk School and proceeds will benefit all craft programs, not only blacksmithing.
This is a great chance to support the Folk School. The day will be pleasant, easy-going, full of laughter and good fun- who doesnt need that? says Director Jan Davidson. The silent auction will last from 1:00- 2:00 PM, which will also give attendees an opportunity to preview live auction items. The live auction will be from 2:00- 4:00 PM.
