Starring Denton Blane Everett as Baby Boy, Todd Farr as Dirty, and Brandi Price as Jollene, the ROCKABILLY BABY film and series embodies the feel of the Nashville Jubilee, known as the "Birthplace of the Stars".
The recently completed ROCKABILLY BABY film is based upon the stage play written by actor/writer and Emmy winner Leslie Jordan, whose background includes work on "Murphy Brown", "Lois & Clark," "Reasonable Doubts" (1991), Hearts Afire" (1992), Evening Shade (1990-1994) and the popular "Will & Grace" (1998) sitcom.
Headquartered in Gainesville, Texas, Timber Creek Productions brings together a veteran creative writing, acting, and film production team that includes Director of Photography, Jim Roberson, known for his work with Designing Women, Evening Shade and Writer/Director Ken Farmer, whose roles include: Silverado, Friday Night Lights, The Newton Boys, and Walker Texas Ranger to name a few .
Rounding out the team is former Air Force and Delta Airlines jet pilot and Executive Producer, Buck Stienke.
Mr. Stienke states, The film ROCKABILLY BABY is a musical drama revolving around a fictional piano-playing rockabilly singer, Baby Boy Watkins who rises to stardom in the mid-fifties. We had a great time making the movie, and at the end our fans wanted more. In response, we developed a 10-week series that incorporates the casting of actors and current-day music talent into an expanded cast of characters, and a more comedy-focused script and storyline. Additional projects in the works at Timber Creek Productions include the production of BONE, a series based upon the life of retired Recon Marine, Darrell Ulysses Bone, who is part cowboy, mystic, and small town CSI, and who uses his wits and gut instinct to battle rural crime with a little help from a stranded alien.
